Event Details

At Central branch we have for you designed

Within downtown’s great web of winding streets

With this event you choose how to unwind

For families big and small to win some treats

Passing shops and pubs and dining halls

Market stalls and tranquil snug cafes

Much more fun than crowded jam-packed malls

To find the city’s hidden hideaways

We celebrate dear Shakespeare’s works and try

To honor words that he let freely flow

“The day shall not be up so soon as I,

To try the fair adventure of tomorrow.”

Let that adventure now begin in haste

Go forth, good friends, no time to waste!

Please refer to the attached Map and Instructions. The first stop on the Adventure Walk is located at the J Erik Jonsson Central Library on the 1st floor; ask staff at the reference desk if you cannot locate the sign. Stops along your journey will be signified with a clearly marked Adventure Walk sign on the door of each participating business. Feel free to browse, eat, or drink at local businesses along your walk!

If you earn a prize, you must retrieve it at the library after your walk.

Are you unable to make your way downtown for an adventurous stroll? You can play just for fun (no prizes) on our Digital Adventure Walk! Click the following link to play the adventure from the comfort of your own computer:
